The Physical Fulfillment of Revelation I: The Seven Messengers of the Seven Churches
Before being chosen by the returned Jesus, the seven messengers faithfully carried out their respective roles in society.
One day in 1965, each of them experienced a vision of a butterfly. Following the butterfly, they all gathered at Cheonggyesan Mountain.
There they encountered the Holy Spirit, sent by God. The Holy Spirit showed them Yeongrok—natural markings on rocks and trees believed to bear the record of God’s work—and reminded them that it was God who had called them.
From that day, they were taught the Scriptures by the Holy Spirit for 100 days in a small mountain shelter on Cheonggyesan.
After the 100-day training was completed, the Holy Spirit made a covenant with them, promising that if they kept the covenant, all blessings would be fulfilled for them within one year.
Having received this training from the Holy Spirit, the seven messengers established the Tabernacle Church in Makgye-dong, Gwacheon, Gyeonggi Province, in 1966, and began earnestly preaching the gospel and proclaiming God’s word.
However, one day, forgetting their covenant with the Holy Spirit to submit to Yu Chang-gu, the other six messengers removed him from the pulpit. In his place, Yu Hui-yeol, Yu Chang-gu’s 18-year-old son, was appointed to preach.
As Yu Hui-yeol began delivering sermons, many people were deeply moved by his message. The Tabernacle Church grew rapidly, eventually establishing more than 70 branch churches throughout the country.
Although the Tabernacle Church flourished after Yu Hui-yeol took the pulpit, the promised blessings did not come to pass. As time went on, the six messengers gradually became complacent.
And then… a dark shadow began to approach.
